Our friend Mohanad from Iraq was not granted asylum in Belgium and decided to return to his home country instead of continuing to appeal for asylum in an EU country. We were really sad to see him go and wrote this song for him on our last day together. The chorus we wrote for Mohanad to wish him well on his journey. The verses came from his own words.
