If only we hope

We wrote this song with residents at the asylum center on 12 March 2018. In particular, a resident named Sham from Eritrea shared words in English and Tigrinya. He also was brave and sang his words to help us find a melody for the song. We wound up writing the song in English, French, and Tigrinya.

This song was one of many we have written with refugees with the universal concept of holding on to hope and the notion that troubled times will pass. All is not lost, if only we hope.
