Unfortunately, I don’t have have a blog post from the Monday afternoon when we wrote this song. I remember that Sarah and I wrote the song with Mohammed [I am the change]. We wrote the song on 19 June 2017. It is the beginnings of what could become a longer song. There is a lyrical and haunting quality to the melody, and the words are profound metaphors for the human experience, as I have found with all of the poems and stories Mohammed has shared with Sarah and me.
