This was a day that many people joined in the poetry and songwriting process. Several different stories were shared, including the beginnings of the story that eventually became the finished song “I am a word.”

On this afternoon, Sarah brought a writer friend from Mexico, who shared a story which became the source for the song Free again. He shared words in English and in Spanish. This song has not yet been finished. With two hours on an afternoon, we sometimes are only able to create the start of a song, a verse, or a chorus.

This time will pass, always we can love

And we will search until when

Don’t lose hope, we will arrive

We’ll touch/hug the sky, together then

Free again
