This song was written in English and in Dari. We began with a line of poetry from Mary Oliver. We wrote a chorus in English and in Dari about the meaning of love. Whenever we write songs with Arabic, Dari, Farsi, and other languages with words that are difficult to pronounce for a native English speaker, there is a lot of practice and repetition of the lyrics before we sing the song all together.
