No one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition

My music life has shifted a great deal in the past few months. Plans and expectations are such funny, fickle things. When I began to work on my business “Story-to-Song” full-time, it became clear to me through the stress that was rising in my body that big business is not my goal. At least, not right now.

I left government work and part-time bookstore work because it is important for me to listen to my own voice and have the freedom to follow it. That is what I seem to need in my life right now. So, I am stepping back, reevalutating, and allowing things to unfold organically.

I have been performing music at local open mics and also for yoga classes. I taught my first yoga class and used music as a way of grounding in intention and to help people get into their mind, body, and spirit at the beginning of the class. I have also been invited to perform during Savasana at the end of yoga class at a couple of different studios, which has been quite meaningful.

So much comes as a surprise in life, and not all of these unanticipated events and shifts are welcome. Thankfully, I am feeling much love and openness and opportunity in my world of music.

Stay tuned for more updates soon!
